We're really excited about our first Community Awareness Event and hope you'll join us and invite friends and family. We will be sharing information about Galactose-alpha-1, 3-galactose, aka Alpha Gal Syndrome, other tick borne illnesses and how to take preventive measures that can help you avoid contracting it. Prevention is key.
With warm weather and summer around the corner, everyone is planning outdoor trips and functions, vacations, BBQs, hiking, etc. Warm weather is also when ticks are most active. Learn more about what you can do to hopefully avoid illness and avoid being bitten.
The event is open to the public, with informational booths to help educate visitors. Donations will be accepted and raffles are also planned to help raise funds for the Alpha Gal Encouragers – NW Arkansas support group and those who are living with AG Syndrome.
